Federal Permits are required for a number of activities including, any large confined livestock farms that have over 1000 animal units(an animal unit is 1000 pounds of live animal) on the farm.

State Permits & Licences

A number of land and management activities require State Permits, including:all dredging and filling activities within 500 feet of surface waters and wetlands.

Local Permits

Click here to view full size picture Local Permits are required for such activities as...Earth change activities 1.0 acre in size or within 500feet of a river, lake or stream. Earth change (Soil Erosion and sedimentation control permits are issued by the County Building Inspection Department. Well and septic field permits are issued by the County Health Department.
