Be sure to check out some of the local lakes for fishing or swimming this summer.  The chain of lakes including  Lake Wilson and Bear is the perfect spot, and you can use the public boat ramp on Bear to launch your boat.  If you prefer swimming then, The Baw Beese area may be more to your liking. Here is a list of the sporting lakes within our township:  Baw Beese, Boot Lake, Bass Lake, Bear Lake, Lake Wilson, Bankers Lake, and Cub Lake.

Area golf courses are doing  quite well this year and always offer a plesant way to spend some time outside. Cambria Township has 2 active courses:  White Oaks, on Bankers Rd.  and The Country Club.on Baw Beese Lake.

There are also 2campgrounds in the township at this time:  Sugar Bush, on Sand Lake Rd.  and 6 Lakes Campground near Hillsdale.

If you are interested in history then be sure to check the historical links for the various townships including  Cambria.  Walking through the older cemetaries is also interesting to see the names of previous generations of the area.

Hillsdale city is offering  a farmers market on Saturday mornings, beginning mid May, and if you are looking for something to do on Saturday nights, then you may want to visit the concerts at the Gospel Barn, also in Cambria township. web site is: [ Gospel Barn.com]

Throughout each season there are numerous things to do and enjoy here in our area of southern Michigan
