The Sage Center From the Hillsdale College Department of Theatre & Speech: "The Sage Center opened in the fall of 1992 and provides studio space for painting, sculpture, graphic design and other visual media (plus the attractive and flexible Daughtrey Gallery) as well as teaching, rehearsal and performance facilities for music and theatre. The heart of the building is Markel Auditorium, a 350-seat amphitheater complete with a 40-foot thrust stage and orchestra pit which can be raised or lowered." Performances run throughout the year and include:
